Seeing Red with Taylor Swift

After the hectic month of May, I decidedly slowed down a bit to spend time with the kids especially Reese who had a few more weeks of summer vacation. We had a series of planned and unplanned dates and one of them was when we attended Taylor Swift’s concert.Reese is a music lover, which I cannot help but attribute to her being in Kindermusik from the time she was 3 till she graduated last year. She loves to sing, dance, listen to music, she’s learning the guitar, and even composed her first song a few weeks ago!Taylor Swift is one of her all time favorite artists (although she recently told me that Ariana Grande is slowly catching up). I love her music as well, and think she is a musical genius, composing hits at a young age, always going all out in her production numbers, and in a branding standpoint, she is an artist who really knows her market and how to connect well with them.So as Taylor’s Red Tour leg in Manila had arrived. We could not hide the excitement in our facesOn the way to SM Moa ArenaMY friend who saw me there even said I looked more excited than Reese, well it was because I was so excited for my little one’s very first live concert. We waited a bit and had time for photo opsWith die hard fans in costumeswith "Mr. Swift"Our friends from SpinnrAnd finally when the arena fell silent, the lights focused onstage and this silhouette of Taylor appeared, we screamed along with everyone elseThen the curtain dropped and I glanced at Reese who was totally wide eyed and had her mouth agape. I guess that’s the time she realized the silhouette in red was Taylor Swift in the flesh.Just seeing her face glowing made my evening and we spent the rest of the evening totally enjoying each number, singing along loudly together.I'd have to say Taylor Swift is beautiful, doll-like, tall and long-legged, she looked so lean wearing her Keds sneakers and didn’t need to bother with heels. She was also warm and very appreciative of the audience –Also a great performer. See how she dances with her crew here--(pardon the shaky video)The last song was “We are never ever getting back together”On video-Even if I’m no longer “16” nor “22”, even if I don’t have any boyfriends who I am “Never Ever Getting Back Together” with, and my only definition of “Trouble” is if the yaya leaves without notice (lol), Reese and I both love Taylor Swift and we agreed that this was one #myreesespieces #datewithmom for the books!See how Spinnr made #SpinnrTaylorSwift fans incredibly happy during the Manila leg of the Red Tour:
