Epson for Moms: My New Fave Gadget (+ a Giveaway!)
GET A CHANCE TO WIN YOUR OWN EPSON LABELWORKS & PICTUREMATE PRINTERS:) GIVEAWAY MECHANICS ARE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS POST:) THANKS EPSON!Some of you may already be familiar with my addiction to paper and office supplies and my growing collection of nifty stationery and gadgets. If other people lust over the latest phone or tablet or the next new designer bag, I, on the other hand, have a sleek letterpress machine at the top of my ultimate wish list.Related to this crazy interest, I have always had one item on my bucket list: It was to attend the National Stationery & Supplies Expo that’s held annually in New York. To this day, I can hardly believe I’ve ticked that off from my list when I was able to finally attend last May!At NSS and went loco over all the paper, cards and stationery, and happily shipped a box-full back home. I also discovered some cool machines like a notebook binder (that I will own someday!), as well as this new label printer I found in the Epson booth that could not only print labels but it could actually print on ribbon! When I saw it, I was already visualizing all the stuff I can do with this printer, gifts I could wrap with personalized ribbon, and I could use it at our Nurture Nook store to amp up our packaging. I realize though that the ribbon cartridges would not be available in Manila so I wasn't able to take advantage of this discovery back then. Then one day, my wonderful friends and Creative Juice client from Epson Philippines invited me to an Epson for Moms event and was given the best news- the Epson Labelworks printer and cartriges were now available locally! Yay!The Epson Labelworks LW300 model was introduced to us and we got a chance to test it individuallyTin loved finding a strawberry frame, perfect for her daughter, Berry, as EJ of Epson looks onMy first label- loved the font and frame:)Then Epson surprised us by giving each of us who attended the event a Labelworks printer and cartridges! And I am enjoying this new toy so much! You can choose from so many fontsChoose a fun frameThe label cartridges now even come in cute prints like this polka dots design...which i used to organize my mail/paper station. Paper is something that can accumulate if not managed properly. So I usually sort my mail, notes, letters, photos, etc. in these acrylic containers I got in Ikea SG.Now i can easily sort bills, letters, and other mail or files that come in on a daily basis. Not only does it look more organized, it is also easier to access something when you need it.I also fixed up Reese's cabinet which is perfect because we just had a change in household helper and coming from laundry, she would always mix up the clothes and my OC Reese would get frustrated. So she made signs herself using post-its after several instances of finding her pajamas with her "going-out" clothes. So I made labels for her...Reese was so happy there was a dog frame! Now her shelves are labelled properly: Pambahay and shirtsSleepwear and pj's, now organizedNow yaya and Reese can live in peace:)The kitchen is another room in the house that needs organization. I like buying the same type and size of container when I can, and i have lots of these Lock n Lock containers.Labelling the outside for its contents makes it look so neat on the kitchen cupboard, and it is easier to know if you are running low on something and need to replenish. The Labelworks printer is so handy that one day I packed it up in my plouch and brought it with me to the office. The fact that it can operate with both a power cable or 6 Double A batteries makes it so convenient to bring around. As a mompreneur with several hats to wear, I have files and files of documents to keep in file. The sentimental me even keeps in "archives" initial mock ups, correspondences and business plans from when our businesses were just starting. So check out the BEFORE: I used post-its as temporary labels (so that's where Reese got the idea for her cabinet!), with the intention of creating labels on my laptop but somehow never got around to it.Now my boxes are the way they are supposed to be. Office files now more organized! And there's more to this wonderful Epson Labelworks printer! If you're like me, a mom of two growing teens who are almost the same size as I am. Our clothes get mixed up together often. This label maker can even print iron-on labels! Now Zach's shirt wont end up in my closet! (Yaya seems to think I'm still into Mickey Mouse)and last but not the least, my fave function- ribbon printing!the sample ribbon print I made at the eventThe ribbon comes in these Epson Labelworks cartridges. Love it!Having a label printer is a handy gadget every mom should have because we all strive and work towards having a more organized and efficient home. It is also a great tool to train others to be organized like our kids and our household helpers. Knowing where things are located and where things should be stored and returned saves us all time, effort and stress! It also makes our job easier for tasks like labelling our kids books, notebooks, and other stuff- having this Labelworks printer around, it will be fun preparing the kids' school stuff this back-to-school season! This Epson Labelworks LW300 printer is such an upgrade from my previous label printers. It's so versatile- from having 40 font choices, 89 different frames, different font and size configurations (bold, italic, outline, etc). It can even store up to 30 custom labels so you can just keep printing the labels you constantly use. It makes organizing at home and office easy and simple, and this benefits everyone in the family and most especially myself. At the Epson for Moms event, Epson also introduced us with another amazing product, the Epson Picturemate PM 245. They took our group shot and printed it out and it only took a 37 seconds wait! Unlike my old printer wherein the sheet goes in and out several times, as the printer slooooowly prints the photo BY COLOR, this one just cuts the waiting time in (probably) half.At home, I could not wait to play with itI printed photos of my kids and their cousins for lola (missing the older cousins)- because I'm seeing her this Sunday and want to give her some mementos. Because of the Epson Claria Photographic inks, the photos come out vibrant, smudge and scratch-proof and is said to last at least 200 years. It even prints ID-size photos! Super handy because the kids' schools always ask for ID pics of the kids. And I can also use this to take photos of our employees and household staff when they have their IDs made. What I love is that in this 8-photo sheet, you can print the same photo or 8 copies of the same photo. I chose to make a collage of Reese's funny expressionsConsumables come in a set of 1 ink cartridge with 150 sheets of photo paper (costs Php 1,200) meaning each photo print comes out to around 8 pesos each. Compare it to other mobile printers I've checked out, this is more economical. If you compare it to having prints made in the mall printing shops, it is slightly higher, but this is of course way more convenient- no need to drive out, park or spend time in the mall to get prints done. In this case, the convenience outweighs the minimal cost difference.Check out the functions! You can adjust print size, add borders or keep it borderless. You can view the photos on the LCD screen via slideshow, by photo or by date. You can even edit the photos and adjust the red eye, or fix the skin tone if needed. You can print proof sheet of photos in the memory card. The Epson Picturemate can access different kinds of memory cards, and via usb so you can connect your camera or laptop to it. It also packs up so easily and is super handy. We can even use this to make our own photobooth in our parties and small events!Love this photo printer! It's honestly one of the best I've seen, considering we've been using photo printers in some of our events in the past. These Epson gadgets that are seemingly made for moms are available online at www.printers2go.ph.Printers2go.ph offers next-day FREE delivery in Metro Manila!
