To Have More Happy & Healthy Years

To have many more happy and healthy years. I think that is every persons prayer, most especially us moms and dads. We have our kids as our reasons for living, and we need to be around in a strong and able body to take care of them, provide for them, enjoy them, and raise them well.In our own circles, there seems to have been more and more sad news of illnesses and unexpected deaths of people we know or just 1 degree from them. Two years ago, a close friend of ours passed away right in front of us, just right after dinner and in the midst of hearty kuwentuhan and joking around, and that was a difficult but clear and loud wake up call. Since then, Gary and I have been going for our regular physical examinations to monitor our health. While making healthier choices and trying to stay fit are part and parcel of life for me now, the need to know where my health stands is as important, especially at my age. We choose to go to ever reliable Health Cube in Greenhills for our check ups- because it’s comfortable and convenient. For me, the less waiting time and the less people to interact with, the less germs to be exposed to. Having met some of the owners, I trust not only their expertise and credentials, and that of their medical team but also their vision for setting up Health Cube. On top of all this, their packages are also reasonably-priced.As we were about to have our scheduled annual physical exam, we were invited by Health Cube Marketing head Marites Chua-Mendoza to come to the newly opened center in the New Promenade Mall in Greenhills. From their building in Wilson, the facility has moved to the new location which provides better parking and accessibility. The reception and waiting area is spacious and comfortable. Its interiors are warm and welcoming, modern but not cold nor clinical.Gary and I admired the framed photographs on the walls and to our surprise we found out they were taken by Gary's friend Jay Quibilan, pro photographer and owner of Shutterspace studios. I love the playful/ artistic/ vintage-y takes on standard medical equipment. After our short tour, we waited to commence having our tests. Our menu for the day:· CBC· Urinalysis· RBS· Uric Acid· Liver Enzymes· Creatinine· ECG· Chest X-Ray· Stress Test· PFTAside from these I requested to have a Breast Ultrasound as well.Tes was there to give us a tour of their new home and explain our package to us.Health Cube's staff are warm and friendly, even the attendant who handles the blood tests. The ECG cables and podsFlat screen monitors the ECG and instantly prints out reportsWe also had the pulmonary function test to test our lung's capacityand this is the treadmill for the stress testhow smart it is to have the monitor right in front of you so you can also see how you are doingIn between tests, we waited in this waiting areawith another one of Jay's photographs on the wall. Note that these are not sperm cells but stethoscopes!or in the outer reception area where the multiple tv screens and/or wifi kept us busy and comfyAfter a week, our results were sent to me via email and I requested for an appointment with clinic manager Dr. Jun Mapue to explain the findings. Our files were all in the Health Cube computerincluding our results from last year, enabling doc to compare results on the spot.We were also given copies to bring home for our own file and reference.Thankfully I got a clean bill of health and according to Dr. Jun, I just need to improve on getting more hours of sleep or sleeping at he right time, drink more water, and get more exercise.Thank you Tes and to Health Cube's team of doctors and staff for taking good care of us every time we visit.Have you had your check up yet?Contact Health Cube at 650-1111 or visit them at Basement 1, New Promenade Mall,Greenhills Shopping Center, San JuanFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/healthcubephilippinesWebsite: http://www.healthcube.com.ph
