Time for a Date

While I am very conscious about making sure I spend one-on-one time with each of the kids, there are times that I just "suddenly miss" them, and that's how I felt about Z last July.  Times like this call for some special bonding time and I found the perfect activity for us to enjoy together.I asked my "date" if I can take a photo of him as we walked from Serendra to Fully Booked High Street. He grudglingly obliged.activitiesIf you regularly read my blog, you might know by now that this son of mine is a creative builder. He loves doing things with his hands so i knew he might enjoy learning about Polymer clay. I signed us up for a workshop at the forum of Fully Booked through my friend Judy. I found out that the organizer Provenance 1800 holds regular classes on Polymer clay, beading and other interesting crafts.activitiesWe arrived a bit early so while waiting for the class to start, I saw that Zach was fiddling with something in his bag...activitiesWhat? a smuggled-in PSP! (tsk. tsk) :-P That got tucked away as soon as we were handed our kits...activitiesCheck out all the materials given to us for the workshop...activitiesFirst activity was to make a donut.activitiesactivitiesThen mini cupcakesactivitiesChoco chip cookiesactivitiesWe also made a cake rollactivitiesactivitiesNameplate (Zach chose to make one for his Dad:) )activitiesThen our teacher collected everyone's work and put them in the oven, and here are our newly-baked creations!activitiesWe think we had the best ones among all our classmates (hehe competitive)There were tools and supplies for sale too!activitiesWe had so much fun that Z totally forgot about his PSP, not only during class, but even after class! Yes, he forgot his entire bag in the classroom, good thing it was still there when we returned. Thanks Ingrid of Provenance 1800, our teacher for the day!activitiesSo happy to have spent the afternoon with you, Z!   Till our next date!activities
