Me Time that Makes “Scents”

For most busy moms, "me time" is a rare, even elusive concept that exists only in the imagination, once in a blue moon, or can even be deemed an aspirational idea we think we will enjoy not now but in a few more years when the kids are a bit older.But alloting time for yourself is more doable if for now you might consider transforming the 20 minutes we get to spend in the bathroom doing necessary tasks towards basic human hygiene into a special time of rejuvenation. This is something I was reminded of when I got this pretty gift basket from Glade.In the little basket came all that was needed for a quick "scent-sational" pampering time for myself, just a door away from the children, but enough to whisk me away momentary, relaxing time of solitude. Having a whiff of the different scents- Lemon, Jasmine, Ocean Escape, Fruit Nectar, Morning Freshness, and a bright red sweet scent called "I Love you" made me go “….mmmmm”SMELL- The sense of smell is most important specially in the bathroom where there is exposure to usually not-so-pleasant odors and smells whether it be from the toilet or the drains.Personally I liked the Lavander scent and chose this to test in my own bathroom and found it to be a great match to my DIY “spa” day in my bathroom.On days I wanted to keep the scent gentle, I placed it by the window sill and I like how it mixes in with the gentle wind that sometimes comes into the bath from the window.I also tested the I love you scent in the kids bath. The sweet, candy-like smell was a refreshing pick-me-up scent for them.Its amazing that the ultra slim packet will actually last you 60 days. This is quite economical and I also like that the product is designed to “eliminate odors” and not just mask them. The packets can even be used on its own, without a holder and you can make it stand using the cardboard holder.Those 20 minutes in the bathroom can be a time of quick but real rejuvenation.
