Make Time for Silly
This wasn’t supposed to make it to the blog. Not because I don’t “look my best” (haha!) in the photos, but simply because it was a moment I wanted me and Reese to keep for ourselves. I posted one photo on Instagram and that was supposed to be it, the details of this memorable time I wanted to cherish privately. But when I told a friend about my latest play time with Reese and showed her some photos of the fun we had, she said I should post about it. My friend shared that she was the “serious mom” type, sometimes too focused on disciplining and preparing her children’s needs and school requirements, she admitted she forgets to play, laugh and be silly with her kiddos. She prodded me to post it and remind moms like her about the fun, light side of motherhood. So, with Reese’s permission, I’m sharing some pics from our Blindfold Make-up Challenge, the first round between Mom VS Reese. We started with the nail polish. With blindfolds on (or in our case, we used our "Fight Cervical Cancer" Headware to cover our eyes), Reese started putting on the metallic blue Piggy Paint polish I chose...Then it was my turn to put polish on Reese.Oooh, pretty.. (pretty messy. but that's the point haha)Then we go to the make up!Feeling her waaaay....Like my lipstick?:)Check out my masterpiece❤️How do we look?So folks, watch out for round 2! There will definitely be one and maybe we will try for the "evening look". I'm hoping we don't poke each others eyes out with eyeshadow. We're also brainstorming on more things we can do blindfolded...hmmmm....:)So moms, let's have fun making happy memories with our kids! It won't hurt to relax and throw out the mom hat even just for a while. Whether you do your own blindfold challenge, or just sing and dance with them, maybe jump on the bed, just remember that sometimes, the best memories for us and our kiddos are the silliest ones.
