H&M and Unicef: All fantasy, All for Children.
As if it wasn't enough that the dream of seeing H&M in local malls has finally come true, the brand creates this adorable fantasy-inspired line for our little ones to wear and enjoy. This particular line which is now in local H&M stores (now with 3 branches!) is part of its annual collaboration with Unicef. 25% of sales from the All for Children collection will support UNICEF's education projects for the most underprivileged and vulnerable children around the world.I went to take a peek at the H&M Showroom in Makati which my friend, Nikki Verzo is now managing and found a collection that is a mix of kids' fashion + active-wear + wearable pretend play pieces. I'd go as far as saying they are fun costumes disguised as clothes for active kiddos, or describe them as costume pieces for every day, and I already know some uber imaginative children (and parents) who would love this concept! That's me with Nikki, now Showroom Head of H&M PhilippinesInspired by adventure and imagination, the pieces reflect elements of woodland flora and fauna. I love the way Emilia Mravec, designer at H&M describes it as "a totally new way of dressing up – one with style as well as imagination".Some pieces my own girl will loveAnd for those with boys, this functional vest for layeringsweatshirt with this beetle print (reminds me of my boys' Mushiking stage)Functional fantasy. There's this reversible blazer that will keep the little men warm and looking smart and dapper but there's a mod reflectorized insect print that got his back,Or these water resistant coated cotton parkas with detailing of bat wings and a dragonfly,And this jacket that has a make believe toad right in your son's pocket. There's also a cute hooded raincoat when the kids want to dress up like a dino for the day. These pants embellished with accents and patches will make a good match to any of thse tops and jacketsThere are some of the coolest accessories to complete the look. Gorilla gloves, beetle-shaped bags, a headlamp with fox’s eyes, faux-fur raccoon’s tail, even footwear. This All for Children campaign has been running since 2009 and has raised more than $4.5-million in funds. I think that's an awesome cause to support while we are enjoying dress up time with our children.H&M now has three branches in the Philippines:SM Megamall, Mega Fashion HallRobinsons MagnoliaSM MakatiOpening soon at Robinsons Place Manila and SM North EdsaH&M Philippines is also onInstagramFacebookTwitterWebsite#HMPhilippines
