Throwback Travel: Memories of China (part 2 of 2)

Learning about another country isn’t complete without exploring its local food and cuisine. When our family visited Beijing, we visited an authentic Chinese tea house and this lady gave a fascinating Tea 101 talk and demo. She was quite entertaining that till today, Reese remembers “oolong tea” as her favorite kind.

On another night, we decided to take the kids on an adventure and so we walked to a food market which Tristan, our tour guide mentioned to us. Having just set up Mercato at that time, we wanted to experience a food market in this part of the world.

There were carts lined up on one side of the sidewalk and people were going to each station to check out the fair, which we discovered, was quite exotic.
