One of my fave events to organize is Expo Kid! I created this concept 7 years ago because of my own challenges as a mom in encouraging my kids to take up classes to further develop their skills and talents. My kids, especially the youngest, is not the easiest to convince to take classes that I want her to take. If I had my way, she would be attending ballet or gymnastics, an art or crafts-related activity, guitar lessons and a math program among others. However, this would be quite impossible not only because of time constraints, maybe even budget limitations, but also because she wouldn’t agree. She would be the type to say “NO” even if she has not even tried the activity yet, and so I came up with Expo Kid so that the kids get to try all the different options available to them in one event, then by the end of the day tell mom and dad what they want. For the activity providers, it is a way to showcase what their sessions are like and market their offerings in one go.
The last Expo Kid was the best yet! So many, if not almost all my favorite activity providers said yes to my invitation! It felt good to hear moms thanking us after for coming up with this expo. These positive comments make our hard work so worthwhile:)
Here are my top picks of kids’ activities for 2015:
Mom and kids bonded while doing crafts together A highlight of the event was the booth of Holy Carabao and The Fun Farm at Sta. Elena which is owned and run by Hindy Weber-Tantoco Holy Carabao’s mini organic market. Even the veggies were of the baby variety! So awesome!
Our sponsors added fun and value to the event:
Fun Ranch Also thankful to Mary Ann Unay of Super Mommy parties for providing the balloon decor! We also had a program for workshops/ demos and some fun talks and games Analog Mornings started off our morning with a super entertaining storytelling activity
Love being with friends at my events! I count this as one of the perks of my job:)
Reese and I with friends Summer and her mom Mocs, Patris and her mom Nikka. The kids are showing off their handmade purses by Sparklelab —- These are my top picks for kids’ activities for 2015. Thankfully they all joined my kids’ activity fair, Expo Kid which was held at The Loft in Rockwell.
Till the next one!
